"I have to say this has been a real rollercoaster for me coming to terms with my diagnosis and then the thought of having this treatment. I was very anxious and worried as I didn't know what to expect. My experience has been very good. I was greeted in reception and taken to my room.
Dr Modi, Dr Wheater also the anaestitist came to see me on my arrival they are all kind caring and very respectful, they put my mind at rest and spoke to me about what I needed to know. I was then introduced to my Cancer Nurse Pippa again she was so lovely I aired any concerns I felt she had been with me all through. They all work as a team and together made my experience the best it could be for me. Throughout my recovery I felt very well no side effects at all for me. I went back to doing my daily chores and carried on my every day life. I am now here at Southampton after having my second treatment again exactly the same procedure and I feel great!
My words of comfort to anyone going through this Delcath Procedure is that your in great hands all drs and nurses work as a team they are incredible. Even when I got home Pippa has given me endless support.
